Huts at the Hall

During the winter months, whilst nature was hibernating, we were working on an exciting new project.

Tucked away amongst the woodland, overlooking the North Yorkshire countryside, there’s a secluded spot where you’ll find shepherd huts settling perfectly into the landscape.  The handcrafted huts have been inspired by nature and designed for luxury country living.

Each ‘double-braced’ Blackdown shepherd hut is two connecting handcrafted huts, creating a spacious living area with double bed, stargazing roof, kitchenette, cosy lounge space with log burner, and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.  The double huts also have freestanding roll-top bathtubs, whereas the family hut features a dining table for the family to gather, which cleverly folds away to create a double bed for up to two children.

To make the most of the surrounding landscape, each hut has a hot tub, outdoor furniture, fire pit, and secluded outdoor space; the ideal place to start the day sipping morning coffee and a beautiful spot to watch the sun set with a glass of something chilled.

The shepherd huts can be enjoyed year-round, with a log burner, central heating, plenty of blankets and a cosy seating corner to snuggle up.

When staying in the shepherd huts you’ll have access to Chaloner’s Restaurant, De Brus Bar and Grill and The Revival Zone treatment rooms, all within the hotel, just contact the team to book a table or treatment.

Located on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and not far from the Yorkshire coast, Huts at The Hall are a great place for a relaxing retreat or an adventurous escape.

There are plenty of local water sports including surfing at Saltburn, open water swimming or stand-up paddle boarding at Scaling Dam, and white water rafting at Tees Barrage.  If land activities are more your thing, head to the hills for a walk in the North York Moors National Park or enjoy one of the great mountain biking trails that Guisborough Forest has to offer.
