Somewhere you feel welcome
Welcome to Huts at The Hall
Here at Gisborough Hall our team enjoy providing a warm welcome, great service, and delicious food to all our guests. Whether you’re visiting for a relaxing retreat, to enjoy the great outdoors or for a special occasion, our team will create a luxury home away from home.
There’s plenty to see and do in the local area; head to the hills for a walk in the North York Moors National Park, enjoy one of the great mountain biking trails that Guisborough Forest has to offer, or take in the fresh sea air by the coast. If water sports are more your thing, you can enjoy surfing at Saltburn, open water swimming or stand-up paddle boarding at Scaling Dam, and white water rafting at Tees Barrage. Or for full relaxation, you could book a treatment in The Revival Zone.
Whilst there’s a kitchenette in the hut to whip up a feast, if you’d prefer us to do the cooking, book yourself a table for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or afternoon tea over at the hotel.
If there’s anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable, please contact the reception team, in the meantime, I hope you have a great stay.
Yours sincerely,
Ruairidh Taylor

Explore North Yorkshire
Located on the edge of the North York Moors, Gisborough Hall is ideally situated to explore the stunning countryside and nearby attractions including historic landmarks, walking routes and coastal towns.
Coast
Head to the idyllic fishing village of Staithes and wander around its meandering streets with huddled cottages, explore its art galleries or head out on foot along one of the many beautiful pathways.
Traditional seaside resort, Whitby is also not far away with a bustling harbour at the heart of the town. The old town cobbled streets lead to the famous ‘199 steps’. At the top of the steps sits Whitby Abbey; its gothic remains inspired Bram Stoker, author of Dracula.
Add a little history to your coastal visits as you search for fossils along ‘Dinosaur Coast’ at Robin Hood’s Bay. This historic fishing village is accessible by a snaking road only by foot that leads down to the bay, which is the eastern end of Alfred Wainwright’s famous Coast to Coast walk.
Saltburn by the sea has kept much of its original Victorian seaside charm. The town is home to the oldest water-balanced cliff lift in Britain, which links the town to a magnificent Victorian pier.
Countryside
With over 1,400 miles of natural beauty, The North York Moors National Park is home to heather moorland, rolling hills, forests, and dramatic coastline. A steam train journey on the North York Moors Railway covers much of this scenic landscape.
Guisborough Forest and walkway is home to many plants and animals in its woodland, wetlands, and grassland. Activities include play areas, sculpture trail, walks and bike trails.
Roseberry Topping is a local landmark that provides panoramic views for those who take the challenge to the top. The surrounding woodland puts on a spectacular display of spring bluebells and a sunset walk to the peak will provide breath-taking rewards.
