Create a timeline and set a budget
The best way to get organised is to create a list of all the things you need to do in the lead up to the big day and put them into a timeline. This way you can prioritise the ‘big’ things that need to be done first and as you tick them off your list you can work your way through the ‘smaller’ tasks. Setting a budget will help you set spending limits.
Make finding your dream venue and booking the church or registrar your first jobs as they will provide the basis for the rest of your planning.
Find your dream venue
Gisborough Hall offers lots of wedding options. If you’re looking for a grand wedding to rival that of the royals, look no further than our ballroom. With its sweeping staircase, high ceilings and chandeliers, the Madoc Suite will provide a memorable setting for your special day.
If it’s a smaller and more intimate day you’re looking for The Longhull Room is perfect. Here you’ll find an elegant dining room with fireplace, oil paintings and mullioned windows overlooking the Cleveland Hills – great for sharing the big day with your nearest and dearest.
Our latest addition is The Glass House. Set amongst rose gardens, The Glass House at Gisborough is a light and airy wedding venue that brings the outside in. Say your vows overlooking the rolling hills and surrounding countryside and enjoy drinks on our sun-drenched terrace. Whilst your loved ones take their seats at long feasting tables our team of chefs will create a delicious grazing menu offering lots of choice for your guests to savour, washed down with wine and fizz. As the sun sets dine by candlelight and party into the night.
Outdoor wedding ceremonies are new for 2020 at Gisborough Hall. Say your vows surrounded by nature in beautiful grounds, as your guests watch on from rustic wooden benches overlooking the hills, say ‘I do’ in a garden wedding ceremony.

Visiting one of our wedding showcases is an excellent way of viewing our wedding spaces dressed for a wedding breakfast and meeting a handful of our recommended suppliers. Working with professional suppliers in the planning of your wedding will not only give you peace of mind that everything will come together seamlessly on the big day, it will also mean the products and services you receive are of the highest quality. Plus, it will save you time trying to source things such as table decorations and who wants to be sticking and gluing table plans when time is of the essence? Our wedding co-ordinator can recommend a range of great, local wedding suppliers.

When time is short ask your bridesmaids, best man, groomsmen and family to help. You’ll be surprised how happy they are to lend a hand, it’s an exciting time for everyone and they’ll love getting involved.
